ABOUT THERAPY

Therapy is a joint venture between you and the therapist.  As a 'systems' therapist, Dr. Barr is able to work with one or more family member at a time and see how their struggles and needs are connected to all those significant people in their lives, present or past, living or not (similar to how puzzle pieces all fit together or how a spider web connects everything and any change is felt throughout the web).

The most important thing is to find someone with whom you feel comfortable and confident in their ability to walk the path with you. Someone who listens well, provides guidance and support, is highly ethical and believes in your strength and resilience.   Relationships are key - in your personal life, in business and with your therapist.
